It's a Brand New Year.(Water Dragon Year). People do come & go in our daily life. Last year was a very bad year for me. But life still goes on. What matters to me now is family, my best friend, Bf & my career. Good things should be kept by our side, & the bad shuld juz forget and burn in our memories. I stopped blogging for quite sometime because of some reasons which i shall not say why..

Mum hasnt talked to me since a week already. She must be very angry with me.

Lets hope my next blog i wont blog about unhappy things :(

Bad Month :(

This Month is really a suay month. And i felt pretty sad and down... I just only recovered frm viral infection, which i thought was food poisoning. After 1 week of pain at my stomach, vomiting, diarrhea, i finally went for a jab after seeing doctor for 3 times. That's the reason why i havent been blogging.

Followed by today's terrible accident. Yes, after getting my license for only less than 2 mths i had a car accident at about 3pm this afternoon at expressway exiting woodlands. It was raining heavily the whole day, I actually overtaking a lorry while exiting, the speed was about 70 when i was at the curve, i braked and the car skidded & hit the side curb. The car banged and turned backwards hitting another curb A look at the pic tells it's quite badly damaged. I thank GOD for keeping us save frm danger. All of us was safe, except for neck shoulder & leg internal sprain. Now currently having a achings and swelling at my shoulders. Today's incident was too sudden.. Moral of the story, Drive carefully especially on rainy days. I'm really glad im still alive here still blogging. :) Cherish life as u only get to live once.

Recently been busy with Work. Start to realise things ain't that simple from the start. So be careful who u deal with ! Now already August. 4 more months b4 a new year comes... Hope next year can be as smooth as this year. Body has been pretty weak, stomach, bones, every problem starts to come out. Health still comes in 1st place so better take gd care of it well..

Lately been having chest pains, be it cough, laugh or get up from bed even when shifting my body on bed i feel aching on my chest area. Guess i have hurted my bones :( Went to c doc, he said it could be due to carrying heavy stuffs. Maybe will take about a week to heal. He only prescribed me with pain killers. Actually it has been 2 days. The pain is still as severe. Haix... Shall see another doc if serious may needa take xray to find out wads wrong..

All along i know i have weak bones. Due to lack of calcium. Gonna drink more milk & do regular exercise.

Happy Lunar New Year to all.. This year for me isn't as better. I think im gonna wash my hands off gambling. This year pig's luck is pretty bad. I believe in wad ah pek say, & it will remain in my heart. My new year resolution is to earn as much $ as i can, pass my driving test & treat my parents well. There is nothing more i can ask for already, as i know baby will always be there to support wad i do. I should learn to accept that things & not always asking for more. 我要学习知足，珍惜现在所拥有的一切. As i grow older i start to learn things a step at a time. As long as im willing to change, there is still hope for me. I know its gonna be a hard process, but still i gotta learn how to accept the fact!

I tendered with Axa, my last day would be 28 Feb 10. Though i really cant bear my colleagues. Good to know: Vodka is least likely to give you a hangover
Vodkais made by fermenting grains or crops such as potatoes with yeast. It's then purified and repeatedly filtered, often through charcoal, strange as it sounds, until it's as clear as possible.

CALORIES: Because vodka contains no carbohydrates or sugars, it contains only calories from ethanol (around 7 calories per gram), making it the least-fattening alcoholic beverage. So a 35ml shot of vodka would contain about 72 calories.

PROS: Vodka is the 'cleanest' alcoholic beverage because it contains hardly any 'congeners' - impurities normally formed during fermentation. These play a big part in how bad your hangover is.

Despite its high alcohol content - around 40 per cent - vodka is the least likely alcoholic drink to leave you with a hangover, said a study by the British Medical Association.

CONS: Vodka is often a factor in binge drinking deaths because it is relatively tasteless when mixed with fruit juices or other drinks.

HANGOVER SEVERITY: 3/10

WHISKY

Whisky or Scotch is distilled from fermented grains, such as barley or wheat, then aged in wooded casks. Whisky 'madness': It triggers erratic and unpredictable behaviour because most people drink whisky neat

CALORIES: About 80 calories per 35ml shot.

PROS: Single malt whiskies have been found to contain high levels of ellagic acid, according to Dr Jim Swan of the Royal Society of Chemists. This powerful acid inhibits the growth of tumours caused by certain carcinogens and kills cancer cells without damaging healthy cells.

CONS: Whisky 'madness' - erratic and unpredictable behaviour - is a common problem with drinking whisky. It's caused by the way most people drink it - neat, explains Professor Jones.
His experiments show that among people drinking the same amount of ethanol, those drinking it in the form of spirits, such as whisky, had the quickest and highest peak in the blood alcohol concentration, which occurred less than an hour after drinking began.

'To slow absorption down, you could take it very much diluted or along with a rich, calorie-dense ingredient such as cream, as in Baileys or Irish coffee.'
Whisky also contains lots of congeners, which tend to form during the ageing process in oak casks. A study by the BMA found that as a result, Bourbon Whiskey is twice as likely to cause a hangover as the same amount of vodka.

HANGOVER SEVERITY: 8/10

WHITE WINE

White wine is made from the fermented juice of grapes stripped of their seeds and skins.

CALORIES: Around 130 calories per 175 ml glass; slightly more in sweeter wines.

PROS: American researchers found that grape flesh contains the chemicals tyrosol and hydroxytyrosol, which help lower arteryclogging LDL cholesterol.

CONS: It's the sulphites formed naturally or added to white wine as preservatives to stop it going brown which are the most likely cause of the 'white wine hangover' many people complain of. Sulphites also carry the risk of an allergic reaction which can worsen symptoms such as a headache, or asthma. White wines also wear away tooth enamel faster, making teeth more sensitive.

HANGOVER SEVERITY: 6/10

RED WINE

Red wine is made from fermented grape juice - but unlike white wine, with the skin and pips included. It's then left to mature for a minimum of three years, during which pigments from the skins leech out and colour the wine red.

CALORIES: Around 120 calories in a standard glass - it's slightly lower in sugar content than white wine.

PROS: Contains more reservatrol - a plant anti- oxidant - than white wine. This helps to prevent blood clots and reduce inflammation, which is now considered to play a key role in heart disease. Also, the pips and skins used in red wines contain tyrosol and hydroxytyrosol, chemicals which help lower artery-clogging LDL cholesterol.

CONS: Red wine drinkers can get worse hangovers than beer or white wine drinkers. Because of the way it's made, red wine produces two types of alcohol - ethanol and methanol. The liver processes the ethanol part of the drink first and leaves methanol until last. 'As a result, it's likely to be floating around in the body for a lot longer than ethanol, giving you that familiar "morning after" feeling,' says Professor Jones.

HANGOVER SEVERITY: 7/10

Colour code: Red wine can cause a worse hangover than white wine because it contains methanol, a second type of alcohol that lingers in your body the next day.

BEER

Slow mover: Low in alcohol, beer is the least dangerous to drink, Beer is made by fermenting barley. Hops are added for flavour and yeast to make the grains ferment into sugar and alcohol.

CALORIES: It's the most calorierich alcoholic beverage - just one pint contains between 170 and 200 calories, about the same as seven chocolate fingers biscuits.

PROS: Beer is the least dangerous to drink and makes you feel you drunk the slowest.
It has the lowest alcohol content - between 3 and 6 per cent for lager, and up to 8 per cent for ale and stout. A pint also contains more than a quarter of an adult's recommended dose of Vitamin B folate, which stops the build-up of homocysteinea chemical linked to heart attacks.

CONS: Beer is high in compounds called purines, which boost the levels of uric acid in the blood, according to a study at Massachusetts General Hospital. This can form crystals in joints, leading to painful attacks of gout. The 12-year study found that drinking more than two beers a day doubled the risk. Meanwhile, research published in the International Journal of Cancer showed that one pint a day adds a 10 per cent risk of bowel cancer, while two pints a day increases the risk by 25 per cent.

HANGOVER SEVERITY: 4/10

Brandy is a spirit distilled from red wine. Fine brandies are aged for extra flavour in wooden casks.

Hangover hell? Brandy contains high amounts of impurities

CALORIES: Around 80 in every 35ml shot.

PROS: Because brandy is a distillation of red wine, it contains a high concentration of antioxidants which mop-up 'free radicals' which, it's claimed, can damage the body organs and tissues and lead to deadly diseases.
Australian scientists discovered that the antioxidants created during the distilling process mean that 30ml of good brandy would give the equivalent antioxidant hit of the daily recommended intake of vitamin C.

CONS: It could give you the worst headache of all, according to research at London's National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. This was closely followed by red wine, then rum, whisky and gin. Not only does brandy contain at least 40 per cent alcohol, the high quality cask-aged variety is likely to have the highest amounts of congeners, which are formed during the lengthy storage and fermentation process. Professor Jones says: 'Brandy contains literally hundreds of different volatile compounds, which gives it the distinctive pleasant smell but also contributes to the hangover.'

HANGOVER SEVERITY: 9/10

Fast acting: Champagne
Champagne and sparkling wine are made in roughly the same way as wine - but then more yeast is added and it's left to ferment in the bottle a second time, producing carbon dioxide.

CALORIES: An average 175 ml glass of Champagne contains 133 calories, slightly more than a glass of white wine because syrup is added to improve taste.

PROS: The antioxidants in Champagne may help protect your brain against damage incurred during a stroke and against neurological disorders such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's diseases, according to a team of researchers from the University of Readicng. They found that high levels antioxidants, called caffeic acid and tyrosol, helped protect brain cells from damage.

CONS: The bubbles speed up the absorption of alcohol into the bloodstream. And contrary to popular belief, Champagne won't lift your spirits - alcohol affects brain receptors in the same way, whatever its source.

'Alcohol basically works in the same way in the brain receptors as Valium,' says Professor Jones. 'It depresses brain activity and relieves anxiety. You might think you're in a good mood, but it's more likely the result of alcohol causing "disinhibition", making you more talkative and exhibitionist.'

HANGOVER SEVERITY: 7/10

We had a Christmas gathering with ex TBC colleagues yesterday. Most importantly i get to see my dearest Ivyin, Joyce & lovely colleagues ;) It's Christmas exchange! All along i love Christmas seasons, exchange of gifts, nice lighting's all around. most importantly is the music which makes me feel peaceful., everything feel so warmth! its a meaning of sharing joy with your loved ones. But the crowd all around is so packed! Giving me a big headache, but still i enjoy it =)

It was a very fruitful trip this time round at Bkk & also at this beautiful island.. I was very happy because i got to see Maldives of Thailand . Beautiful beach with clear blue water, the sunset & sunrise that i & him witnessed with our very own eyes. This island left me with beautiful memories :) Especially the friendly staff.. Missed their Banana Milk Shake.. I can recall even thou i vomited while snorkeling half way baby was there accompanying me. i thank him for the surprise. Felt touched :) We took almost 600 pictures. I'll post some up will do. Long post this time..

So happy that NEX is finally open! Felt happy because they got my fav store there haha! & the great thing is the NTUC is opened 24 hours, yappie, me & baby was scouting around on the 1st day of their opening. We felt happy because 1stly it's our first trip there, 2ndly it's juz in between distance from our houses, haha but mine's still nearer almost 5 mins away from my house. Superb! Was hoping one day i can get to watch the 1st movie over there & sing away at Party World! Oh talking about that, i saw Kenneth today he was like tapping my hand juz opp the escalator haha. Such a small world

I was hoping November would end fast.. so many bad things happening. Counting down to so many things.. My birthday is coming, Christmas is coming...so many things lining up.. It's day 2 baby! Now that my wisdom tooth is finally out, on the process of healing, i really got to take gd care of my empty gums. I prolly won't not be eating rice till my wound closes... At the moment, im still having soups. Hopefully by the 2nd or 3rd week my gum will close. Im having bad phlegm coughing my lungs out already!

I took a hair cut, but regretted cause i look like damn ass!

Today went to see Dr Eugene Poh @ Khoo Tech Puat Hospital for my extraction of top left wisdom tooth. Im totally speechless on his skills. Really professional. Be it injecting of the local anesthetic or extracting, its really very good of him. Thumbs up. In total the bills came out to a total of $36. He didn't count in the consultation fees. Totally cool!

Xrays took from AMK Dental Clinic. My wisdom tooth on the right corner, frm the pic u can tell that the tooth cant fully grow out because its been blocked

& here it is extracted out in less than 5 mins as promised

I went to see 2 dentist all say need to go for surgery but Dr Eugene proof me wrong. He told me juz a normal extraction will do. & so he did it!

Im pretty upset for the whole week, which all started with this wisdom tooth i had few months back. Im totally very upset with this dental clinic "Accent Dental Surgery"@AMK. Last Thursday i had a toothache & decided to take extra time off juz to see the dentist.. Took a cab down which cost me $16. Took an xray & consultation @$90. Never mind about the $ issue....Dr Chang said my wisdom tooth is growing out and its gonna affect my tooth. So i decided to take his advice to see Dr Sylvia Tay @ Yishun Khoo Teck Phat Hospital which which Dr Chang is gg to refer me to. I then called the hospital to make the earilest appt to see her. From what i understand it's the clinic's responsibility to send the xrays to the hospital & not me getting the xray files to show to Dr Sylvia. The stupid dentist didn't even tell me anything until i opened the stupid referral letter. I mean aren't the clinic suppose to email the xray files to the hospital instead of me? Today again, i went down to talk to the reception, she told me she's closing the clinic & the time is only 12.10pm. WTF lor the clinic states it closes at 1pm. I told her i can go back to take thumb drive, she had this fucking lame excuse saying her system is all shut down & asked me to go down tmr morning 9am to get the xray files. I was like damn her lor. Cant she just open the bloody system! GRRRR Baby was being patient beside me.... Tmr morning im gg to the damn hospital, better make sure this Dr Sylvia does a gd job. Before i screw her upside down.

Recently been scouting around with baby over at the camera counters haha. We wanted to buy a DlSR, was thinking if i should choose Canon or Nikon.. Definitely will buy it before my birthday as we have planned our trip already! So looking forward!

Im always a shopaholic ahha.. That day while waiting for baby to reach at city hall i went to body shop bought a body scrub. Then headed for dinner at Marina Sq. The gloves is meant to scoop out the scrub in the tub. then rub on the body. This should be done once a week. For brighter firmer skin haha

Here it it! After discount cost $29.90 which is 40 % cheaper. As it was the last day.. so i bought it, the shop assistant told me it can be used at least a few months

Went Comex 2010 yesterday, saw this Sony Vios Lappy which i thought it could be mine! LOL cost $1299 with Freebies worth $400 excluding the lappy price. After much thought i decided to leave. Daddy told me if i wanted the lappy he will subsidise me half Weeee! I still gt about a day to decide if i should get it.. So tempted.

Recently my office shifted to Bugis Junction, but official date to start will be on 9th Sept 2010. In the meantime im actually working from home till next week. Haha the good thing is i get to sleep longer + i get to save some $ on trips and food outside.

Went Vivo with Baby today.. We ordered Old Chang Kee to eat. Ordered Chicken Cheese Balls, Yam Taro & Baby ordered a Curry Puff.

When i had a small bite on the Chicken Cheese Balls, the cheese squrt out .. It was freaking hot... To my Horror, the cheese juice was on my body. Just below my neck.. And now i have a blister.

Then we hurried to Watsons to buy a burnaid Cream. Till now.. its still watery. haixx

Batam Trip was an enjoyable one with Baby... but felt kinda bored.. cause i didn't get to play water sports arhh.. The rides was pretty expensive. Overall i enjoyed relaxing myself ... After all this i & baby will be planning for our upcoming trip this end Year. Which is going to fall on December. I had a hard time controlling myself not to eat too much heaty food especially spicy craving.. Im still feeling slight sore throat thou. Shall really mean it! Cut down on oily & spicy intake!

Down with Flu & Sore throat

I think im prone to illness easily... Last 2 days i had a big ulcer just beside my mouth. After that suay day i had throat pain followed by Flu which is today. Ate soupy meals & drank herbal tea, guess its too late to remedy. Neitherless daddy made me a nice hot Ginseng tea, felt so warm hearted.. he's always so caring towards the 3 of us (3 Goldilocks) Haa im going Batam tomorrow dunno how im gg to enjoy over there... Sharks

I went for a hair cut last week. And baby commented i look younger! weee.. Time for supplements. Bought almost $100 worth of products at Fancl. I believe time will tell.. Me and Ivyin will be excited with the results.

Went Sentosa with Baby and Friends yesterday. The weather was really bad. No signs of the sun at all. After that we went to try Sunset Grill (Only manage to eat Lvl 10 nia, was so eager to try lvl 30) They commented my face was red after having the chicken wings) After which we had a great Steamboat Feast! With all that goodies i have enjoyed, I have gained from 43kg - 47kg. Time to Cut those fats!
